Summary
- ​Department: Surgical Unit 2T
- Shift timing: Night Shift 18:45-07:15 Hours Monday to friday
- Per Week: 36 Hours.
- This department is a 22 unit, serving Medical/Surg adult patients and does have telemetry capability.
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6 on days and 1:6-7 on nights.
- Care for patients pre and post surgery and patients on heparin and lasix drips.
- The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator.
- Additional Support Mon-Thur includes a Clinical Supervisor on days and nights.
- Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemet
- ​Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
