The position involves a daily caseload that varies per shift and location. The clinician will work three 12-hour shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. There is a holiday rotation, but on-call is not required. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities. Travelers are required to attend all mandatory staff meetings. First-timers may be accepted if they have previous experience. Clienttion badge is required and must be provided by the agency. MUSC does not provide radiation badges to travelers. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis, at a lower rate. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on manager and unit needs. The facility is a teaching hospital and a Level 1 trauma center, with a total of 865 staffed beds. Scrub colors are teal tops and black bottoms. The charting system used is Epic. Daily caseload averages around 60 exams, with a focus on cardiac procedures. Special procedures include biopsies, drainages, and vascular studies. Travelers should be aware of hurricane season as all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period. All labs required for compliance must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of the start date. Modules are non-billable and take an average of 4 hours to complete. Module hours are included in NBO hours and must be completed pre-start.
