Senior Fund Accountant

A leading global financial services firm at the heart of the investment industry is seeking a Senior Specialist, Private Equity Fund Accounting to join their Private Equity accounting team in New York, NY (hybrid, 4 days/week in office). This is an opportunity to join a top-tier financial institution known for combining cutting-edge technology with world-class client service. You'll play a key role in delivering accounting services for complex private equity fund clients, while mentoring junior team members and helping shape best practices across the group. What You'll Do Perform accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds — including NAV calculations, fund performance, expense allocations, and reporting Drive service improvement initiatives, process efficiencies, and specialist-level reviews Guide and review cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts, resolving atypical transaction issues Draft and review client-facing reports on fund performance Serve as a key point of contact for clients on fund reporting and accounting matters Help evaluate GAAP/IFRS updates and their impact on fund accounting practices Mentor and review the work of junior team members What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience 5–7 years of relevant fund/private equity accounting experience Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS) Experience reviewing the work of others and providing technical guidance Comfortable working directly with clients on complex accounting matters #J-18808-Ljbffr Atlas Search
