Title: Program Coordinator, Nursing for Workforce Solutions ($3,000 sign-on bonus) Agency: Tidewater Community College Location: Suffolk - 800 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: $75,000 - $95,000, commensurate w/ experience. Full Time or Part Time: Full Time Job Description The Program Coordinator oversees all administrative and operational aspects of the non‑credit, open enrollment Nurse Aide program and the new nursing pathway program initiatives. The Coordinator establishes, develops, and manages the day‑to‑day program, ensuring compliance with Virginia Board of Nursing (VBON) accreditation standards. The role reports to the Associate Vice President for Professional Development Workforce Solutions and plays a key part in conducting business needs assessments, identifying training opportunities, and submitting course proposals for approval. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably nursing, from a regionally accredited college or university is required. Hold a current, unrestricted Virginia RN license or multi‑state licensure privilege as a registered nurse. Have two years of experience as a registered nurse and at least one year of direct client care or supervisory experience in the provision of long‑term care services. Demonstrated knowledge of community college curricula, instructional practices, and learning outcomes in programs assigned to the nursing healthcare sector. Ability to develop courses, coordinate scheduling, supervise staff, and manage budgets. Excellent skills in oral and written communication. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures; ability to resolve issues, resulting in mutual respect and tolerance for varying points of view. Knowledge of and ability to utilize administrative and instructional applications of information technology. Familiarity with accreditation, certification, and licensure requirements.
