Corporate Incentives Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a Corporate Incentives Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience to join the Corporate practice of a leading global law firm. This opportunity is open to candidates in multiple U.S. offices and is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience advising domestic and international companies on economic development incentives, corporate expansions, relocations, and major development projects.The successful candidate will advise clients across a wide range of industries on the development of corporate headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, and large office projects, while identifying and negotiating discretionary economic development incentives. This is a high-volume, fast-paced practice with an integrated team serving sophisticated global clients.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school6+ years of relevant experienceExperience advising domestic and international companies on U.S. expansion and relocation projectsExperience with economic development incentives, including identifying, structuring, and negotiating discretionary incentivesExperience involving corporate headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, large office projects, or other significant development initiatives preferredExperience at an AmLaw 100 firm preferredAdmission to practice in the state where the candidate will be basedStrong academic credentialsExcellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skillsStrong business judgment and attention to detailExcellent organizational and project management skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and collaborativelyProcess-driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial approachAbility and willingness to mentor junior attorneysResponsibilitiesAdvise domestic and international companies on economic development strategies related to U.S. expansion and relocationIdentify and evaluate available federal, state, and local economic development incentivesAssist clients with the development and expansion of corporate headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, and large office projectsStructure, negotiate, and document discretionary economic development incentivesConduct legal and regulatory research to support client strategies and transactionsDraft and review agreements, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documentsManage complex matters from inception through completion, including negotiations and closingsDevelop strong relationships with sophisticated domestic and international clientsCollaborate with attorneys and professionals across multiple practice areas and officesProvide practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environmentMentor and support junior attorneys on the teamStay current on relevant laws, regulations, and economic development programsParticipate in firm initiatives, professional organizations, and pro bono activitiesPosition DetailsWork Arrangement: Hybrid, with regular in-office presence and flexibility for remote workCompensation: $390,000–$435,000 annually, depending on geographic market, experience, skills, and qualificationsBenefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan
