WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Experience: Television news - 0-2 years Education: High school diploma Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, comparable television work experience preferred Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software and basic non-linear editing systems May be required to lift up to five pounds Working Conditions Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned field duties on occasion Semi-noisy newsroom setting Here, our employees don’t just have jobs, they're building careers.
