This facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center providing comprehensive orthopedic trauma surgery services. The hospital maintains dedicated OR access, ICU capabilities, and emergency department support with established protocols for managing complex orthopedic trauma cases. The facility provides 24-hour coverage capabilities and utilizes eClinical Works EMR for clinical documentation.

South Carolina offers a range of experiences across history, nature, and culture. Notable destinations include historic sites, coastal areas, islands, and the natural surroundings near the Blue Ridge region. Clinicians on assignment will find access to outdoor recreation, culinary experiences, and cultural activities across the state's cities and coastal communities.

The physician associate will provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma surgery coverage with day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekdays and 24-hour call shifts on weekends. Responsibilities include managing Level 1 trauma cases with OR coverage, hospital rounding, overnight call coverage, and post-operative visits, with an average daily patient volume of 20. The clinician will deliver ED support, consultations, and post-operative care for orthopedic trauma patients, performing reductions and wash out procedures. ACLS or ATLS certification and a South Carolina license are required for this assignment.
