Job Title: Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator
Pay Rate: $20.00 $25.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: La Porte, TX
Job Type: Contract to hire
Job Overview
Openwork is partnering with a leading global chemical manufacturing company to identify a detail-oriented Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. This role will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, documenting shuttle movements, entering and maintaining data in the ERP system, and supporting freight-related transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Movement Tracking: Document internal shuttle movements between company facilities and third-party partner warehouses; maintain accurate shipment and inventory records in internal systems.
Inbound & Return Processing: Process inbound receipts from external partners, track incoming shipments, and record return movements for blended and repackaged products back to manufacturing plants.
System Updates: Regularly update shipment statuses, tracking details, and inventory movements across designated logistics platforms.
SAP & Order Support: Assist with entering purchase orders and creating order acknowledgments within SAP.
Financial & Freight Administrative Support: Assist with processing freight invoices and updating shipping costs on royalty-related transactions following invoice approval.
Compliance & Accuracy: Follow established logistics and inventory control procedures to ensure data integrity and operational compliance.
Qualifications
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of inventory management and transportation workflows; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office applications.
ERP Familiarity: Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is strongly preferred.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing multiple transaction records and system updates.
Communication & Problem-Solving: Clear written/verbal communication skills with the ability to follow set processes and solve routine discrepancies.
Prior Experience (Preferred): Background in logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehouse administration, or inventory controlincluding processing POs, receipts, or freight transactions.
