General Function The Store Director oversees the operations of a store with total sales of $2.5 Million and over. The Store Director is an on‑the‑floor leader, managing all store functions while acting as a guide for the team. They coach, develop and inspire the team so that everyone is a true ambassador for Sunglass Hut, creating an environment where great service is delivered through the Sunglass Hut Experience. Through leadership, energy and quick decision‑making they inspire every associate to deliver an experience that translates into sales. Major Duties and Responsibilities Utilize the Sunglass Hut Experience tools to consistently deliver on the sales plan and company objectives. Develop the store’s strategic plan to achieve financial results. Drive sales by identifying opportunities to achieve both personal and store goals. Lead by example; coach, mentor and inspire the team to enhance store performance. Support careers, teamwork and talent retention through a development‑focused environment. Create an inspiring, motivating work environment that reflects brand integrity. Partner with the Regional Trainer and Manager to address staffing gaps. Continuously coach and train staff for career growth. Build an emotional connection within the store team that translates into sales and ensures a consistent Sunglass Hut Experience. Make the store an energetic, positive experience for customers. Facilitate sales and develop an emotional connection with customers. Ensure adherence to all operations policies, procedures, visual standards, inventory and merchandising practices. Replicate the Sunglass Hut brand by executing brand standards and the Sunglass Hut Experience. Keep knowledge of product innovative merchandise and fashion trends. Mandate retail excellence through consistent coaching. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years leadership experience. Proven expertise in all aspects of store operations. Detail‑oriented. Critical thinking to execute the operational components of the store. Preferred Qualifications Some college education. 3+ years leadership experience in a retail environment.
