Revenue Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $125,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cross-check income recorded against payments received to ensure alignment with metered production
• Compile and explain monthly revenue fluctuations during the financial close process
• Confirm accurate matching of cash inflows with recorded receivables after revenue finalization
• Generate and distribute monthly royalty reports and respond to related inquiries professionally
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve complex accounting issues related to upstream operations

Requirements:

• Demonstrate 2+ years of experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and close processes
• Show at least 3+ years of prior experience in the energy industry, specifically oil and gas.
• Use ERP systems designed for the oil and gas sector with confidence and efficiency
• Apply knowledge of accounting systems in hands-on financial operations
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and auditors

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field, or possess equivalent experience
• Maintain or pursue an active CPA designation as a valuable professional asset
• Uphold internal control procedures to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
• Prepare and submit state-level royalty and severance tax payments accurately and on time
• Mentor junior finance team members and support their professional development
