About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Business Operations to serve as a strategic partner and operational leader, driving the execution of company-wide priorities across various functions. This high-visibility role requires a versatile executive with a strong background in operations, particularly in the publishing, media, or consumer products sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operations agenda, leading special projects, and building a cross-functional operating management model. They will also act as a multiplier for the SVP, Commercial Ops, and serve as the connective tissue between different divisions, resolving cross-functional confusion and defining clear workflows. Applicants for the VP, Business Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a relevant industry, with a preference for those with a background in book publishing. The role demands a proven track record in leading cross-functional initiatives, strong financial and analytical fluency, and exceptional communication skills. The VP will be expected to own executive reporting and analysis, evaluate new business opportunities, and support the integration of new clients. Familiarity with publishing operations, including marketing, supply chain, distribution, and title management, is a strong plus.
