About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Cardiothoracic Surgery)

Location

Richmond, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiothoracic Surgery Progressive Care/Step-Down unit
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care following cardiothoracic procedures
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete required unit-specific orientation modules within the designated orientation week timeframe

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience in a Level 1 hospital setting
• EPIC charting experience required
• 2 professional references required at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility natural nail policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a cardiothoracic or step-down/PCU environment
