Assist Program Supervisor

The Assist Program Supervisor is responsible for supporting the administration and operation of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) at William A. Kerlew Junior Academy. This position assists in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, maintains accurate program documentation, supports reporting requirements, and collaborates with school administration and food service personnel to ensure the successful operation of the program.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, nutrition, education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or other federally funded nutrition programs is preferred.
• Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and administrative skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the administration and daily operation of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
• Support compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local NSLP regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation required for program participation and audits.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of required reports and program documentation.
• Coordinate with school administration and food service personnel regarding program requirements and compliance.
• Monitor program records for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized files related to eligibility, reimbursement, and program documentation.
• Communicate with appropriate agencies and school personnel regarding NSLP requirements and updates.
• Assist with annual program reviews and preparation for administrative audits.
• Perform other duties related to the administration of the National School Lunch Program as assigned by school administration.
