Our Program, Project & Construction Management practice serves as owner's representative and third-party PM for some of the most dynamic companies in the country, guiding clients through complex projects with independent, conflict-free expertise.We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer to join our Columbus team, embedded in an exciting long-term engagement supporting a confidential, high-growth defense technology client.THE ROLEAs Senior Project Engineer, you will work alongside Hughes Marino's senior project managers serving as owner's representative on behalf of a confidential defense tech client. You will be a critical part of the project delivery team, supporting the day-to-day execution of complex construction projects from the owner's side. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with real exposure to executive-level clients and mission-critical work.WHAT YOU'LL OWNSupport senior PMs in managing proposals, drafting meeting minutes, contract creation, and client reporting documentsAssist in the creation and ongoing updates of project budgets and schedulesManage document control, change order processing, monthly invoicing, TI allowance reimbursement, and project closeout in coordination with project managersDay-to-day involvement across multiple concurrent, complex construction projectsInterface directly with Hughes Marino PMs, clients, and brokers on evolving project requirementsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR1-4 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably as a Project Engineer or Senior Project EngineerExperience with tenant improvement projects requiredHands-on experience with invoice processing, schedule and budget creation and updates, and meeting minutes requiredA strong tendency toward leadership and a solid understanding of the design, permitting, bidding, construction, and closeout processHighly proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft ProjectSharp communicator, written and verbal, comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholdersSelf-directed and deadline-driven, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to shifting prioritiesLocal candidates only: Columbus and Central OhioCOMPENSATION & DETAILSCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience ranging from $80,000-$110,000Competitive benefits package and long-term career growth within Hughes MarinoCombination of in-office and onsite project workTravel as required to support client projectsBachelor's degree required, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or ArchitectureHOW TO APPLYApply directly through Hughes Marino's Careers page, or reach out confidentially to David Rubenstein, Recruiting Director, at View email address on ziprecruiter.com or View phone number on ziprecruiter.com.
