Accounting Associate

We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus! Family Service Association is hiring a full‑time, 35‑hour per week Accounting Associate. The starting hourly rate is $22. Hours are Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; after the introductory period, a partial hybrid remote schedule is available. Duties and Responsibilities Process weekly accounts payable. Check edit list for accuracy. Maintain a monthly summary bill log worksheet on recurring expenses. Forward capital assets and grant vouchers to supervisor. Compare the Payments Due Schedule against the Trial Balance on the 1st of each month. Obtain and ensure all W9s and Workers’ Compensation certificates are received for all vendors who require them. Prepare and maintain monthly contract‑analysis reports on expenditures and revenues. AFC Caregiver‑review and pay. Review and prepare 1099s. Run bank reconciliations. Prepare daily deposits and record them on a spreadsheet. Assist with external audit preparation and requests as needed. Maintain and record agency credit card expenditures and payments. Audit mileage vouchers submitted for payment. Education and Experience Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Computer proficiency. Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred (but not required). Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Long‑term disability insurance.
