Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the following responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough assessments and screenings of new clients to evaluate their substance abuse history and mental health status, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs. \n
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and co-occurring mental health issues, collaborating with the client to set realistic recovery goals. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based methodologies tailored to each client's unique situation, enhancing their coping strategies and emotional resilience. \n
- Work in partnership with other treatment team members, including psychiatrists, case managers, and peer support specialists, to create an integrated care plan that reflects the best interests of the client. \n
- Educate clients and their families about the recovery process, encouraging engagement and support in treatment. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies, ensuring the integrity of the therapeutic relationship. \n
You will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and related mental health challenges. Our diverse client population encompasses adults of varying ages and backgrounds, all seeking the support necessary to overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Your role will involve a nuanced understanding of the psychological, social, and behavioral factors that affect recovery, helping guide clients through their unique experiences.
Qualifications\nThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

- A valid clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). \n
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program. \n
- Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling or mental health treatment, showcasing your ability to support clients through complex behavioral health challenges. \n
- Strong familiarity with evidence-based practices for addressing substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. \n
- Exceptional therapeutic skills with a proven ability to build rapport and motivate clients towards recovery. \n
- Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, fostering collaboration with peers and clients alike. \n
While not mandatory, the following experiences are advantageous:

- Specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, or other therapeutic modalities relevant to addiction treatment. \n
- Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment team and engaging in integrated care approaches. \n
- A background in working with specific populations such as veterans, adolescents, or families affected by substance abuse. \n
