Part-Time Tax PreparerWe are seeking an experienced Part-Time Tax Preparer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals returning to the workforce, those seeking flexible or seasonal hours, or anyone who enjoys the technical and client-service side of tax preparation — without the pressure of sales or commission-based work.As a member of our tax team, you will assist with preparing and reviewing individual tax returns.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:Efficiently prepare and review individual (1040) tax returns.Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information, identify tax saving opportunities, and clarify tax related questions.Stay current with tax laws and regulations relevant to assigned work.Collaborate with other preparers, reviewers, and partners to ensure quality and consistency.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism.Requirements5+ years (preferred) of experience preparing individual tax returns - public accounting or independent experience welcome.CPA or EA certification preferred but not required.Working knowledge of tax preparation software.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Problem solving and analytical thinking abilities.Additional details: Schedule & compensationPart-time (starting at 20–25 hours per week, flexible scheduling).Competitive hourly rate based on experience — not commission-based.Supportive, team-oriented environment — no sales.Why join us?Flexible schedule ideal for work-life balance or re-entry into the workforce.Collaborative, respectful team that values your expertise.Opportunities for seasonal return each tax year.Salary description $25.00 per hour - $50.00 per hour
