Month-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements Cost accounting , including job costing, WIP, and inventory valuation Manage AP, AR, payroll, general ledger , and internal controls Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Analyze margins using standard costing and variance analysis Manufacturing & Operations Finance Partner with operations on manufacturing finance , labor efficiency, utilization, and margins Support pricing, quoting, and operational decision-making Maintain and improve ERP system processes Develop KPI reporting and management dashboards Insurance, Compliance & Corporate Filings Oversee insurance programs , including coordination with brokers, renewals, certificates, and claims support Ensure timely completion of insurance-related filings and reporting requirements Satisfy government, regulatory, and other required financial or legal filings Support contract administration and compliance related to financial and insurance obligations Coordinate with external advisors on compliance, reporting, and risk management matter EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of experience as a Controller or Senior Accountant Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting Experience owning month-end close and financial reporting Comfort operating in a hands-on, owner-operated environment Preferred CPA or CMA Experience in job shop or metal fabrication Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated accounting Experience overseeing insurance programs or compliance reporting Interest in progressing to a CFO role LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
