IT Network Engineer - Summit Medical Group

Overview Summit Medical Group is recruiting for a Level 2 Network Engineer who is responsible for configuring, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s network infrastructure. This is a full-time opportunity. Responsibilities Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain systems related to networking, switches, routers, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, SD-WAN, policies, and routing. Create clear instruction sets and maintenance guides for distribution among IT teams and staff related to workflows and IT technology usage. Maintain knowledge through ongoing education in IT technology to sustain expertise across related IT fields. Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure team to maintain operational status of all IT technology. Contribute to IT projects related to specific technology areas and take responsibility for assigned tasks within the area of expertise. Provide regular reports on technical areas of responsibility to IT Management. Assist with 3rd party relationships (vendor, consultant, or support groups) as needed for support, deployment, and implementation of specific IT areas of expertise. Communicate status, recommendations, specifications, and needs related to specific IT areas clearly and concisely to IT management and/or executive leadership. Performs related work as assigned. Education Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in IT. Minimum equivalent experience is defined as 7 years in IT. Health care experience is a plus.
