Mortgage Closer | Retail Lending Mortgage Closer | Retail Lending 6 Month-Contract (potential to convert to fulltime) Location: Hybrid – Cincinnati, OH Pay: $28 - 30/hr (Compensation can vary depending on experience) General Overview We are seeking a Retail Lending Closer who will be responsible for coordinating and preparing documentation for consumer and residential mortgage loan closings. This position reviews loan files for accuracy and completeness, ensures required conditions and regulatory requirements have been satisfied, and works with lending partners to resolve outstanding issues prior to closing. Responsibilities Develop a working knowledge of assigned consumer and mortgage lending products, loan origination platforms, regulatory requirements, and internal lending procedures. Review approved loan files and supporting documentation to confirm required due diligence and applicable TRID requirements have been completed. Prepare required loan disclosures, closing packages, and related documentation, including HUD-1 statements when applicable, for accuracy and compliance. Verify underwriting, funding, and other approval conditions have been satisfied before closing. Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and partner with lending teams to resolve issues prior to the scheduled closing. Gather documentation necessary to finalize loan closing packages and support the disbursement of funds. Maintain timely communication with lenders and other parties involved throughout the closing process. Requirements 1-2 years of experience in consumer lending, mortgage lending, or consumer banking preferred. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Excellent written, verbal, telephone, and customer service skills. Strong computer skills; experience with lending or loan origination software preferred. Comfortable performing calculations and reviewing financial information for accuracy. Preferred Skills Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple solutions.
