CNC Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Minimum 2 Years CNC Machining Experience Required

Pay: $18.00–$22.00/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM
Schedule: 4×10 — Every weekend off and 3 days off every week

MK Fluidic Systems is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience , takes pride in precision work, and is comfortable inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience required
• Must be comfortable operating CNC mills and/or swiss lathes
• Ability to independently read and understand blueprints, and work orders
• Must understand dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, and basic GD&T
• Must be proficient with precision measuring tools, including:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Thread gauges
• Plug gauges
• Other standard inspection equipment
• Must be comfortable accurately measuring and verifying dimensions to within 0.0005 of an inch
• Ability to recognize when a part is out of specification and make the appropriate machine/offset adjustment or notify the supervisor
• Basic shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and tolerances
• Reliable attendance and ability to work the complete 2nd shift schedule
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and production requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines using CNC controls
• Load and unload parts and properly secure workpieces in chucks, fixtures, and/or other workholding devices
• Monitor machine operation and maintain proper production flow
• Make basic tool offset adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished and in-process parts to specification using precision measuring equipment
• Accurately use calipers and micrometers and other devices to verify critical dimensions
• Monitor coolant/oil levels and report machine problems or abnormalities to the Shop Supervisor
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, setup sheets, and production travelers
• Document completed operations and inspection results on production travelers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company quality and safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls
• Experience machining tight-tolerance components
• Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, UHMW, Peek or other common manufacturing materials
• Previous experience in a production machining environment

Important Requirement

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience. Applicants without the required CNC machining experience will not be considered.

Candidates must also be comfortable using micrometers and verifying dimensions to 0.0005 of an inch tolerances.
