This faculty position offers the opportunity to practice evidence-based internal medicine while contributing to the education of medical students and residents within one of the Midwest's premier academic medical centers. The Department of Internal Medicine is one of the largest and most dynamic departments at Saint Louis University, supporting excellence in patient care, education, research, and service. Opportunity Highlights: Faculty appointment with Saint Louis University School of Medicine Outpatient-focused Internal Medicine practice Teach and mentor medical students and Internal Medicine residents Opportunity to participate in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and clinical research Collaborative academic environment with access to a broad network of subspecialists Practice within the SLUCare Physician Group and SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital EPIC electronic medical record Supported by a mission-driven health system with a strong commitment to physician well-being Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care for adult patients Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Participate in medical student and resident education through clinical teaching and mentorship Engage in interdisciplinary care with specialty colleagues across the health system Participate in departmental, academic, and quality improvement initiatives Maintain excellence in patient-centered care consistent with the missions of Saint Louis University and SSM Health Qualifications: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Eligible for Missouri medical licensure Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and patient-centered care Interest in resident and medical student education preferred SLUCare Physician Group and SSM Health have partnered for decades to provide exceptional medical services to patients at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital, SSM Health St. Marys Hospital, and, most recently SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. They will collaborate with SSM Health Medical Groups more than 600 community-based providers to deliver care at more than 50 physician office locations, as well as through comprehensive virtual and digital health services.
