What You'll Do:

• Provide professional nursing care in the operating room setting for surgical patients
• Prepare patients and ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are ready and sterile
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies promptly
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe procedures
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly
• Follow all safety protocols, including those related to emergency team assignments when necessary
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized OR environment

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience
• Current BLS certification
• Strong surgical and team communication skills
• Ability to adapt to emergent situations when assigned to emergency teams

About the Assignment:

This role is located at a leading healthcare facility in Slidell, LA. The unit handles a variety of surgical cases with an average of 10-25 cases per day, across weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts.
