The Business Analyst will utilize their analytical skills to assist the revenue team in managing Northgate Resorts' 9,000+ cabin, RV, and tent sites across 35+ locations. This role will support pricing, inventory management, systems management, forecasting, and strategic revenue growth through high-quality data analysis, performance evaluation, and system optimization. This is a full-time, in-office position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, reporting to the Revenue Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTranslate analysis into clear recommendations on pricing, inventory, and operational decisionsOwn recurring reports and processes end to end, including checking the numbers for accuracy before they go outSupport inventory management, pricing strategies, and demand planning effortsAssist with forecasting and budgeting across business unitsSummarize key insights and present findings to internal stakeholdersPartner with park employees to answer questions and support programsSupport cross-functional projects and departmental initiativesDevelop and maintain daily and weekly reports on site revenue, retail, food & beverage, and other revenue centersConduct ad-hoc analysis to support planning and operational decision-makingAnalyze historical performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunitiesIdentify and escalate issues with data integrity or operational inconsistenciesGather, clean, and consolidate data from multiple sources (reservation system, point of sale, and park-level files) into reliable, analysis-ready formWork with data from our cloud data warehouse to support reporting and analysisBuild and maintain data models to support performance analysis and scenario planningAutomate data gathering, transformation, and reporting workflows using Power Query, Python, or other tools as appropriateBuilding out the backend of reservations management systems and point of sale systemsGeneral administrative duties and data entryParticipates in other projects and activities as assignedEducation/Training/Experience1–2 years of experience in a data analysis, business analysis, or hospitality operations role preferredBachelor's Degree in data analysis, statistics, finance, accounting, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceAdvanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Data Modeling, Array Formulas, Charting)Familiarity with Google Workspace (G-Suite)Experience with data modeling and forecasting techniques in Excel or similar toolsExperience cleaning and consolidating data from multiple sources using Power Query, SQL, Python, or similar tools.
