Job Description\n Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Libertyville, Illinois.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 7 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2304\n $500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - ER\n Job Details:\n • Work 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling options: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Mids (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM), or Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)\n • Every other weekend rotation required\n • No on-call responsibilities\n • Schedule created on a 6-week cycle with self-scheduling\n • Minimum 2 years of recent emergency department experience required\n • First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of ED experience\n • Average patient load of 150 patients per 24 hours\n • Patient ratio of 1:4-6 during the day, flexing to 6 at night; 1:3 when fully staffed\n • Care for all ED patient types from neonates to geriatrics including stroke, DKA, trauma, geriatric psych, abdominal pain, and STEMI patients\n • Heavy behavioral health patient population\n • ICU hold capabilities with eICU RN support available\n • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC\n • Preferred certifications: CPI/MOAB, TCRN, TNS, ENPC\n • Required skills: IV starts, assisting with chest tube insertion, medication titration (pressors, insulin, sedation), trauma experience, and stroke experience with TPA administration\n • Ultrasound-guided IV placement preferred\n • All agency staff will be re-validated on ability to draw blood cultures without contamination\n • EPIC EMR experience required\n • IV pumps: Alaris; Medication dispensing: Pyxis; Ranger used for massive transfusions\n • No floating to other units\n • Scrub color: Navy Blue\n • Free parking available\n Facility:\n This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital featuring 273 beds and a Primary Stroke Center designation. The emergency department consists of 44 individual rooms, 10 hallway beds, and approximately 5 cardiac chairs. The facility also includes a Level II NICU and offers 24/7 support from ED physicians, mid-level providers, hospitalists, and respiratory therapy.
