OverviewRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manager to support FP&A activities related to expense analysis, planning, and reporting.This is a high-impact role requiring strong ownership, technical capability, and a hands-on approach to financial analysis. The role will partner closely with business stakeholders and finance teams to support expense management, budgeting, and allocations, while driving process improvements and automation across FP&A.The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to leverage data, systems, and emerging tools – including AI – to improve efficiency and insight generation.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesAnalyze expenses across business units, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget, prior periods, and key drivers)Support budgeting and forecasting processes for expenses, including development of allocation methodologies and cost driversContribute to the design and implementation of expense planning processes within Oracle or similar systemsDevelop, maintain, and enhance datasets, reports, and dashboards using Excel, Power Query, and Power BIWork with large, structured datasets, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reporting and planning outputsIdentify opportunities to improve expense reporting processes and drive automation of recurring workflowsIdentify and support practical applications of automation and AI to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and efficiencyPartner with business and functional teams to support understanding of expense drivers and financial resultsPrepare clear, structured analyses and presentations for finance and business stakeholdersEnsure strong documentation, controls, and reconciliation of expense data and reporting outputsSupport ad hoc analysis and special projects as neededQualificationsQualifications & ExperienceSolid understanding of financial concepts and expense management as well as strong familiarity with insurance industry conceptsExperience in FP&A, expense reporting, or financial analysis within a corporate environmentStrong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills; proficiency with Power Query and/or Power BI preferredExperience working with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion/FCCS) or similar enterprise toolsExperience working with large datasets and supporting data-driven reporting processesDemonstrated experience improving processes, automating workflows, or enhancing reporting efficiencyExposure to data analytics tools or AI-driven solutions in a finance context preferredStrong communication skills with ability to effectively partner with non-finance stakeholdersExperience in expense reporting, cost allocations, or budgeting processes is a strong plusExperience in Big 4 or similar environment is a plusKey CompetenciesExtreme attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to operate independently and take full ownership of deliverablesAbility to “roll up sleeves” and work in the details while maintaining a high-level perspectiveStrong business partnering skills and ability to communicate financial concepts clearlyQuick learner with strong intellectual curiosity and adaptabilityStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentContinuous improvement mindset with focus on automation, efficiency, and innovationComfortable working with large datasets and evolving processesJob SummaryRequisition ID: JR1006340Category: FinancePosition Type: Regular Full-Time
