Legacy Ford Fernie is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven  Assistant Sales Manager / Finance Manager  to join our leadership team. This is a dual-role opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who is passionate about developing people, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and maximizing dealership performance.

The successful candidate will assist in leading the sales team while managing all aspects of the finance process, ensuring customers receive outstanding service and tailored financing solutions. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to operating with integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Assistant Sales Manager Duties-

• Assist the Sales Manager in leading and coaching the sales team to achieve monthly sales and profitability goals.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of Sales Consultants.
• Monitor daily sales activities and provide coaching to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
• Work directly with customers to resolve concerns and ensure an exceptional purchase experience.
• Assist with deal structuring, pricing, trade evaluations, and inventory management.
• Ensure dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Finance Manager Duties-

• Present financing, leasing, warranty, insurance, and protection product options to customers.
• Build relationships with lending institutions to secure competitive financing solutions.
• Maintain strong finance product penetration while ensuring a transparent and customer-first approach.
• Prepare all finance and legal documentation accurately and in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
• Ensure all funding packages are complete and submitted promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and uphold the highest ethical standards.
• Stay current with lender programs, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous Finance Manager experience is preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in an automotive dealership is considered a strong asset.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and close sales.
• Knowledge of automotive financing, leasing, and F&I products is considered an asset.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
