Travel Requirement: This position is based out of the Indianapolis site but requires up to 60% travel to support operations at company locations in surrounding areas.

Shift: This role operates on a variable schedule with hours assigned according to business needs. Specific shifts and workdays are not guaranteed and may change based on operational priorities.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $67,200 - $84,000 , with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $67,200 - $100,800 . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Job Function

Safeguards the organization through legal counsel, risk management, and compliance oversight. This function includes areas such as attorneys who provide legal advice and representation, professionals who manage contracts and workers’ compensation, and legal support staff who ensure accurate documentation and efficient processes. Collectively, it mitigates risk, ensures compliance, and supports sound business decisions.

Job Family

Ensures the company meets all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements across transportation, warehousing, and shipping activities. It develops policies, conducts audits and investigations, and partners with stakeholders to minimize risk and maintain regulatory readiness. These roles monitor changing laws, train employees, and collaborate with regulators to prevent violations and protect the business. Overall, the function safeguards operational integrity and supports the safe, lawful movement of goods.

Job Summary

This position will strenghten compliance and operational risk management efforts by ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and company standards. This position will also liaise between internal and external stakeholders, proactively identifying risks, conducting compliance evaluations, and driving resolution of issues.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor qualification, onboarding, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
• Conduct audits to ensure contractual compliance.
• Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate company liability and strengthen operational controls.
• Manage and support resolution of compliance disputes, ensuring timely and appropriate outcomes.
• Communicate compliance findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver guidance and training to internal teams regarding compliance management practices and contract adherence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support compliance monitoring and audit readiness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Understanding of industry terminology, as well as contractual compliance and audits.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reviewing and and interpreting contracts and complinace related documents.

Typical Degree & Years of Experience

Typically requires at least 2 years of experience and a Bachelor’s or equivalent.

Corporate jobs: The working environment for this position will be in a home office or onsite office environment that requires extended periods at a workstation or desk. This position requires little to moderate physical activity.
