Prep Cook
Our restaurant is looking for an experienced Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining high standards for food quality and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and preparation procedures consistently
- Properly store, label, and rotate prepared ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Properly clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate low-stock or quality concerns
- Assist the kitchen team with additional prep and cleaning duties as needed
- Work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of food preparation, safe food handling, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move kitchen supplies
