General Assembly Technician
Pay: $17.25/hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Duration: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire
Position Summary PTS Advance is seeking a Refurbishment & Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team in Lorain, OH. This role involves rotating between refurbishing and packing products while supporting daily production goals. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computers, hand tools, and electronic equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Rotate daily between refurbishing and packing responsibilities based on production needs.
- Refurbish, inspect, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures.
- Assemble and rework mechanical and electronic components as required.
- Program firmware, scan serial numbers, and print labels using a computer.
- Use hand tools and electronic test equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Read and follow work instructions, quality procedures, and testing documentation.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of mechanical assembly or electronics assembly experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Comfortable using a computer for programming, scanning, and label printing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift 45â€"70 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
