From ensuring effective store operations, strategies, and procedures, to guiding and developing team members, our Store Leadership Teams help create memorable customer experiences while supporting and helping drive the company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”As a Co-Manager, you will be a leader who plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store, primarily guided by the Store Manager. This role executes strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, and implement marketing and promotional directives to increase sales and grow our existing customer base. You will be responsible for driving high store standards and conditions while fostering a positive team environment, developing associates of all levels to prepare them best to successfully obtain their career goals .HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCEProvides leadership, direction and coaching to the other leadership and associate staff.Identify and create plans to enhance employee productivity and performance (e.g., track employee results and make suggestions for modifying goals accordingly)Demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills by assisting customers regarding products, features, benefits, availability, and resolving escalated complaints.Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.Identify store hiring needs and conduct interviewing, hiring, and training for store staff, conduct and plan employee training, development, and coaching.Motivate, educate, guide, and develop associates to meet long-range growth plans/career paths within the store, field, and general office.Assist the store leadership team on other responsibilities as neededYOU HAVEBachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience3 years of functional experienceNo formal management experience required, however has experience in leading projects and peopleStrong problem-solving skills; ability to resolve technical, operational and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency and effectiveness of the store.Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, and various software packages.JOB CONDITIONSFrequently in an active environment (i.e., requires the ability to constantly move about) that can be physical or strenuous (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently use specialized equipment, may have exposure to dust and noise.Occasionally requires the ability to work in placeAvailability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
