Quick Facts Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date: 11/23/2026 Shift: Night shift, 5x8-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: Missouri License, BLS required, RNFA preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Pay & Benefits Hourly pay rate: $144.05 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable What You’ll Do Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, ascending aortic surgeries, and more Support surgeons in the operating room during complex procedures Manage pre- and post-operative care alongside surgical teams Use Epic EMR for charting and documentation Participate in emergency and scheduled surgeries, including re-do sternotomies and mechanical circulatory support procedures Maintain sterile and safe surgical environment What You Need Required: Valid Missouri RN license and board certification in cardiothoracic surgery or related field BLS certification Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience in OR setting Preferred: RNFA certification About the Assignment This assignment is at a leading facility in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in adult cardiothoracic surgery. The hospital performs approximately 517 pump cases annually, providing a dynamic environment for experienced surgical nurse practitioners. You will be integral to a dedicated team supporting complex cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and emergent procedures.
