What You’ll Do

• Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, ascending aortic surgeries, and more
• Support surgeons in the operating room during complex procedures
• Manage pre- and post-operative care alongside surgical teams
• Use Epic EMR for charting and documentation
• Participate in emergency and scheduled surgeries, including re-do sternotomies and mechanical circulatory support procedures
• Maintain sterile and safe surgical environment

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Missouri RN license and board certification in cardiothoracic surgery or related field
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience in OR setting

Preferred:

• RNFA certification

This assignment is at a leading facility in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in adult cardiothoracic surgery. The hospital performs approximately 517 pump cases annually, providing a dynamic environment for experienced surgical nurse practitioners. You will be integral to a dedicated team supporting complex cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and emergent procedures.
