Together, we're improving health and improving lives.OmniSeq by Labcorp is looking for a Clinical Lab Associate to join our team in Buffalo, NY.Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - Saturday 10:00am - 6:30pmJob Responsibilities:Receives and accessions laboratory testing material within various laboratory information management system(s) utilizing appropriate blood/body fluid precautionsStores laboratory samples maintaining the integrity of the physical/electronic inventoryAnswers telephones, routes callers, takes messagesObtains required release of information signatures from patients to obtain laboratory materials when requiredPackages laboratory material for delivery to referral testing laboratories in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirementsPackages diagnostic specimens for return in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirementsAssists in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and controlling laboratory supply inventoriesMaintains files and stores relevant laboratory documentation in accordance with regulatory standards for required storage periods.Participates in laboratory quality assurance activitiesEnhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature and participating in in-service meetings and workshops.Performs other related duties as assigned or requestedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalencyPreferred Qualifications:Associates degree in a healthcare discipline1 or more years of experience in a clinical/research settingAdditional Job Standards:Knowledge of medical/laboratory terminologyPay Range: 21.00-25.00All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
