Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Med Surg Telemetry patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards of nursing practice.
- Monitor telemetry patients and stroke patients, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications, perform ongoing patient assessments across developmental ages, and document care consistently.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, unit staff, and families to ensure safe, timely delivery of care and appropriate discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
- Provide patient and family education regarding plan of care, treatments, and safety measures.

Requirements
- Current Maryland RN license with Nursys verification within 30 days
- 2+ years recent Med Surg/Tele experience; 2+ years stroke patient experience listed on resume
- Willing to care for Telemetry patients as needed and to obtain NIHSS and MRSA certifications within 48 hours if offered
- COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations not accepted; documentation on file
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Local candidates accepted
- Ability to work the facility's schedule and adapt to unit needs
