Charge RN Cardiovascular Operating Room

Schedule

Weekend schedule: FridaySunday (rotating). Call is required, typically one weekday call/week and approximately one weekend every 56 weeks.

Assignment Details

Compensation includes a $5/hr differential for charge duties. Orientation hours are non-billable.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Georgia RN or Compact license required at the time of submission.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Preferred experience in community hospitals and Trauma I/II settings.
• Scrub experience in cardiovascular/thoracic/vascular cases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Lead nursing staff during surgical procedures and coordinate interdisciplinary support.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies and protocols.
• Monitor patient outcomes and provide necessary interventions.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members as needed.

Compliance / Notes

All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission, with a maximum of 7 days allowed per contract. No time off may be requested during the orientation week, and holiday expectations apply based on the contract duration.
