Job DescriptionThe individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. The list is not all-inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but is intended to provide an understanding of the purpose and scope of the position.It is the responsibility of everyone at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members and support their efforts to increase same-store sales and profitability.Customer Service and Office SupportMonitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.Take and relay messages and provide appropriate information to callers.Handle member calls in a polite, professional, and courteous manner.Research and resolve member questions and concerns in a timely and accurate manner.Work closely with transportation, routing, and shipping departments to resolve retailer issues.Provide general administrative and clerical support to the division.Perform research and follow-up as necessary to provide accurate answers and solutions to member inquiries.Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, cooperation, integrity, tact, and consideration when working with members, vendors, associates, and division management.Bakery & Deli SupportAssist Bakery/Deli Sales Manager with weekly sales events, food shows, new item distribution, and any other type of sales event.Enter, review, prices, dates, promotional information, and other details for accuracy.Administrative and Team ResponsibilitiesMaintain organized electronic and paper files for advertising, customer service, and administrative records.Use spreadsheets, email, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other technology required to perform job responsibilities.Knowledge in PeopleSoft is helpful but not required.Learn and effectively use new software, systems, and technology as business needs change.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to member service and bakery/deli activities.Perform other clerical, administrative, advertising, and customer service duties as assigned.Work as a member of the AWG team so that the total job responsibilities are met.Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact, and consideration with our members, associates, vendors, and division management.This position requires strong communication, organizational, customer service, attention-to-detail, and computer skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet established deadlines.
