Overview The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PRN 1099) covering Vacations and off days will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients in a variety of settings. This position involves conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. The practitioner will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and support for patients. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) At least two years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations and various mental health conditions Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology Additional certifications in specialized areas of mental health care Responsibilies Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients and their families Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care Skills The required skills for this role include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for accurately diagnosing mental health conditions.
