Water Production Manager

Overview Manages the overall operation and maintenance of four potable drinking water treatment facilities: the Central Arizona Project Plant, Chaparral Water Treatment Plant, Central Groundwater Treatment Facility, North Groundwater Treatment Facility, and arsenic sites. Responsible for the efficient, safe, and economical operation of the water treatment facilities and related processes. Responsibilities Operate and maintain conventional and membrane treatment facilities. Supervise personnel, provide training, approve work schedules, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain documentation. Monitor and troubleshoot advanced computerized systems. Implement continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, management, business, or a related discipline. At least 7 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of large water treatment facilities. Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience. Grade 4 Certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality in Water Treatment or ability to obtain within a reasonable time. Good written and oral communication skills.
