Assistant/Associate Professor Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) Program Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) Asian Institute of Technology The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is an autonomous, international and inter‑governmental post‑graduate institution that promotes technological change and sustainable development in the Asian‑Pacific region and beyond through higher education, research and outreach activities. Since its inception, the Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) program of AIT's Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) has contributed to the institution's goal by focusing on industrial competitiveness and innovation for sustainable regional growth. It offers specializations in Artificial Intelligence of Things and Signal Processing (AIoT), Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME), Mechatronics and Machine Intelligence (MMI), Biomedical Engineering (BME), and Semiconductor Engineering (SCE). Despite the diversity of specializations, ISE maintains a similar concept of developing graduates who excel in technical knowledge, teamwork, communication, and leadership. We are extremely proud of all of our graduates who are currently employed as production engineers, division managers, CEOs, professors, deans, university rectors, and so on. The Industrial Systems Engineering Program is seeking a candidate for a faculty position at Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering area of study. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate level courses, supervise graduate students both at master and doctoral levels, conduct interdisciplinary research, and establish an externally funded research program, to contribute to knowledge creation evinced through scholarly publications, and to engage in building the program's prominence through professional service. The program is particularly interested in candidates with the following desired qualifications: Must have a Ph.D./doctoral degree in Operations Research and Management Science, Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Management, Statistical Data Analysis from a well-recognized university/institution with a strong research background and interest in Operations Research, Management Science, Optimization, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Computer Simulation, Information Systems, Big Data Analytics, and/or related fields. Competence in teaching and carrying out research at the post graduate level. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research Strong publication record demonstrating ability to perform independent research listed in SCOPUS, Google Scholar and ResearchGate. Demonstrate ability to attract and handle externally funded projects The salary offered to the successful candidate is regionally competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
