Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, coordination exercises, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate proper usage and guarding techniques.
• Utilize modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, therapeutic pools, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and document progress accurately, including patient education and involvement.
• Maintain professional and ethical relationships with patients and staff while consulting with various healthcare disciplines.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and share relevant information with peers.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines, maintaining a clean treatment area and equipment.
• Demonstrate a customer service attitude towards patients, visitors, and staff members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active license in the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.
