Position Overview Production Associates provide entry‑level production support throughout the Fernandina plant—machines, finishing, pulp mill, stores, utilities, and more. Employees work in indoor and outdoor conditions and must adhere to all safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment. Responsibilities Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and guidelines. Follow safety rules and work in a safe manner. Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Inspect product to ensure customer specifications are met. Assist operators/technicians with daily production duties. Perform lock‑out/tag‑out procedures. Read, follow, and complete work assignments. Working Conditions Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, elevated temperatures, and other physical demands. Personal protective equipment required: hard hats, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes, etc. Must be able to walk, reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel. Frequently lift or move up to 50pounds. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least two (2) years of industrial or related experience. Aptitude to learn complex manufacturing processes. Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends. Pass a drug screen, physical examination, and background check. Maintain good attendance. Ability to work well in teams.
