Residential Service Electrician

Most service tech jobs hand you a truck and a call list. This one hands you a whole department. Specialized Electric is launching its residential service division, and we're hiring the electrician who'll run the first truck, set the standard, and grow with it as it expands. If you've ever run calls for a shop and thought "I'd do this differently," here's your chance to actually do it.
Specialized Electric Company is a family-owned electrical contractor in Golden, serving the Denver Metro since 2002.Kent and Jenny, the owners, built this company together on quality work and long-term relationships, and Kent came up through the trade himself, so they know exactly what it takes to build something right from day one. We do residential, commercial, and industrial work, we guarantee everything we do, and we're known for doing it right the first time. Now we're bringing that same standard to residential service.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Running residential service calls: troubleshooting, repair, and installation
- Owning the whole customer experience, from diagnosis to presenting pricing options to collecting payment
- Explaining electrical issues to homeowners in plain language
- Helping build the pricing standards, workflows, and processes for the department
- Building repeat customers and long-term relationships
- Keeping documentation and invoicing accurate
- Keeping your truck clean, your appearance professional, and your work code-compliant
Who We're Looking For: You're the tech homeowners ask for by name. You can diagnose fast, explain clearly, and close the job without cutting a corner. And you want to build something, not just clock calls.
Beyond that:
- Active Colorado Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- 1+ year of full-time residential service experience (required)
- Experience with customer-focused service programs is a strong plus
- Self-motivated and comfortable running solo
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check
