Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a skilledMainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in mainframe technologies and a strong understanding of software development life cycles. You will work on developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment. Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL. Work with databases (DB2, IMS, or similar) and utilize JCL for batch processing. Manage and maintain VSAM files and related file structures. Develop and maintain COBOL stored procedures; experience with native stored procedures is a plus. Utilize tools such as Endevor, Changeman, File Manager, and SPUFI for code management and deployment. Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong hands‑on experience in mainframe technologies. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2/IMS, and VSAM. Experience with COBOL stored procedures; familiarity with native stored procedures is advantageous. Knowledge of mainframe tools: Endevor, Changeman, File Manager, SPUFI. Understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to work in Agile teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr Veriipro
