About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Ability to read and interpret telemetry - Experience in cardiac rehabilitation - Knowledge in management of cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias - Skills in monitoring telemetry Description: Locals allowed to apply. First-time travelers not accepted. EMR used is EPIC. Block scheduling allowed unless staffing gaps need to be filled, then all staff may be scheduled accordingly. Staff will perform self-scheduling. Required start date is ASAP. The shift schedule is during the day from 07:00 to 17:00. Missouri or Compact license must be in-hand at the time of submission. Certifications required include ACLS and BLS. The candidate must have more than 2 years of experience in a relevant field. Skills necessary include managing angina and hypertension, as well as post-operative care for cardiac, MI, and vascular surgery patients. Responsibilities also include blood glucose monitoring and diabetic teaching. Fall risk assessment and prevention, infection prevention, pain assessment and management, and patient education are critical components of the role. Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics. The average daily census is 12 with roughly 16 visits per day. The nurse may be required to float to other units based on staffing needs. The candidate should expect to work some weekends and holidays.
