Member Services Call Center Rep

Apex Systems is hiring for Member Services Call Center reps near Corona, CA, for a large Healthcare Client.

Location: This role is onsite for the first 3 months and then will open to remote options, this position is open to anyone who lives within 1 hour of the city.

Rate is non-negotiable and starts at $25 with a raise after training.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention by providing members, customers, patients, and providers with accurate, consistent, and timely information. The position involves supporting member inquiries and issues, building rapport, and maintaining collaborative relationships with current and prospective members in accordance with compliance guidelines. This role requires an assessment to move to the next step.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the health plan by answering and documenting all incoming contacts to determine their nature and respond to complex calls.
• Respond professionally to inquiries from internal and external customers, providing a high level of customer service.
• Initiate contact with appropriate personnel to obtain information relevant to member concerns or inquiries.
• Evaluate data to determine and implement the appropriate course of action to resolve complaints and coordinate service recovery.
• Document conversations with members according to procedure and follow established procedures to meet their needs.
• Interact effectively with diverse work units and organizational departments.
• Apply a substantial understanding of assigned skills, knowledge, policies, and processes to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Complete required training and understand how to use available tools to recall necessary information.
• Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience: 1+ year of inbound call center experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
