Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to handle the installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance of electrical infrastructure and facility systems. This position is vital to the seamless operation of our manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and utility departments. You will play a key role in upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, directly contributing to our mission of helping clients build a healthier, cleaner, and safer world. Core Duties Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical controls and systems across the production site. Provide essential support for HVAC units, utility systems, cleanroom infrastructure, and various facility support equipment. Improve equipment reliability and maximize operational uptime by performing routine preventive and predictive maintenance. Resolve complex electrical malfunctions in transformers, motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting, and power distribution hardware. Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide your daily work. Assist with capital improvement projects, facility upgrades, and the installation of new equipment. Collaborate with instrumentation and automation teams to ensure integrated systems function correctly. Verify that all electrical systems meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and safety codes through rigorous testing and inspection. Provide rapid response to facility emergencies and equipment failures to minimize downtime. Document all maintenance activities and repairs within the CMMS to ensure accurate record-keeping. Contribute to root cause analysis and the implementation of CAPA protocols to prevent future issues. Drive continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives throughout the facility. Adhere strictly to GMP, EHS, and quality system guidelines to ensure a compliant workplace. Professional Requirements Possession of a GED or high school diploma. Successful completion of a formal technical training or electrician apprenticeship program. Active Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson License. Three to five years of experience in electrical maintenance within a regulated industrial setting, such as medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing. Expertise in NFPA 70E, NEC, and general electrical safety protocols. Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems operating up to 480V. Proficiency in analyzing wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
