About the Role

The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to oversee all aspects of its operations. The successful candidate will be a highly visible, personable, and decisive leader with a strong background in private club management, particularly in the areas of food and beverage, financial management, staff development, and golf-related operations. The GM/COO will be responsible for leading the management team, supervising various department heads, and indirectly overseeing all club employees. This role requires a professional with a strategic and thoughtful approach to club management, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to member service and satisfaction. The GM/COO will also be expected to strengthen the leadership team, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure the club's financial sustainability. Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should have a minimum of five years' of progressive leadership experience in a private, member-focused club environment. A degree in hospitality management or business is highly desirable, and professional certifications such as CCM, CCE, or PGA designation are preferred. The role demands a leader who can recruit, develop, and retain talented staff, as well as one who is adept at financial management, including budgeting and forecasting. The GM/COO will be instrumental in the club's strategic planning process, balancing the needs of a diverse membership while upholding the club's traditions. The initial priorities for the new GM/COO include listening, learning, and building trust, as well as stabilizing and elevating food and beverage operations.
