Desktop Support Engineer (Windows Infrastructure)

Roles and Responsibilities
Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktop, laptop, and server systems.
Perform OS imaging, software installation, updates, patches, and upgrades.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
Administer Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server environments.
Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP configurations.
Provide onsite and remote technical support and manage incident escalations.
Support backup, disaster recovery, system monitoring, and security compliance.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware maintenance and issue resolution.
Maintain IT asset inventory, system documentation, and technical reports.
Support hardware refresh, decommissioning, and office moves.
Utilize ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems to track and resolve support requests.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years, or Associate's degree with technical certification and 4+ years of IT support experience.
Experience imaging, preparing, and deploying desktop/workstations.
Strong administration experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
Experience with DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and desktop troubleshooting.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
Cybersecurity certifications.
Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure operations.
Valid driver's license and flexibility to support after-hours, weekend, and on-call operations as needed.
