Job Details Position: Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Flex Location: South Pasadena, FL Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions. Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and supporting visitor and contractor screening practices. Support healthcare location operations by assisting with de-escalation, wayfinding, and incident response while maintaining professionalism and respect for privacy. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required. Vaccinations are required for this hospital assignment. Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment. A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
